We've had young Londoner Alex Lloyd, aka Deco Child, pegged since he dropped the beautiful Pray last year, the mark of an exceptional talent on the horizon. But then poof, not a peep. Until now.
Lloyd's new EP, Skinless, trades in some of the thumping electronica for a more sweeping, Cinematic Orchestra(l) feel. It's also hugely evocative of How to Dress Well's Just Once EP, as sung by Patrick Watson. But while these comparisons are very easy to make, it's harder to describe the well of emotion that Skinless taps into. This much is still clear though: there really is an exceptional talent on this here horizon. Stunning stuff.
