inc. - No World

It's no secret that R&B is genre du jour in the music world. There seem to be two sorts of revival happening - the cerebral Prince-touting work of How to Dress Well, Autre Ne Veut etc, or the likes of Rhye, Shy Girls, and Jessie Ware revisiting the Sade school of slow jams.

Brothers Andrew and Daniel Aged, aka inc. (formerly Teen Inc.), seem to fall somewhere between the two, which sometimes works to their detriment on their debut album, No World. However, the overall impression they leave is solid - songs like Careful and The Place could sit comfortably with any classic of the genre.

The true measure of their talent comes across in a song like 5 Days (below) - smooth, sparse, and languorous, with a beat to make Brandy blush. We're looking forward to much more from this lot.
