Every so often we come across something that plays like harmless fun (not the awful band fun., who are of course anything but). SYKES are just that - a London four-piece that have such jaunty and infectious tunes it's impossible not to raise a wee smile.
Lead single Out of Your Hands is a great slice of indie-pop from an EP that's radio-friendly to the hilt, helped in no small part by lead singer Julia's all-American flavour. Could be huge with the college crowd, this.
