Widowspeak - Almanac

If you want your music to combine the sounds of US Indie, 90's shoegaze, British Folk and lo-fi alt scuzz pop then Widowspeak may just be the band for you. Brooklyn based duo, Molly Hamilton and Robert Earl Thomas, are releasing their second album, Almanac, at the end of the month and have allowed the good people at NPR to stream it in it's entirety.

The album takes on the dark drone tone of Widowspeak's eponymous 2011 debut and slaps on the layers for a more solid sound, which fans of Warpaint, Fleetwood Mac and Mazzy Star will love. Hamilton’s delicate, dreamy vocals are used to full effect and make for a perfect listen on those cold, gloomy nights ahead of us.
